To be effective, a Costume Assistant must possess a range of skills including excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of costume history and design. Proficiency in sewing and the ability to perform quick alterations are crucial. Interpersonal skills are also vital as the role requires constant communication with actors, designers, and other crew members. Education
