What is a Site Rep?

The role of a Site Rep involves scouting potential filming locations, obtaining the necessary permits and permissions for filming, coordinating with the property owners to schedule filming days, and overseeing the logistics of the shoot on location. They serve as the main point of contact between the production team and the property owners, handling any communication or negotiations that need to take place. A college degree is not always a requirement to become a Site Rep. However, having a background in film production, location scouting, or a related field can be beneficial. Prior experience working in the film industry, particularly in the location department, can also be valuable.
