Il VITERBOshort – Festival del Cortometraggio è un evento che celebra l’arte del cinema breve, valorizzando opere provenienti da tutto il mondo. Il processo di selezione si sviluppa in due fasi principali:

Tra tutte le opere iscritte al festival, una giuria qualificata seleziona i migliori cortometraggi che entrano ufficialmente a far parte della “Official Selection”.

Essere parte dell’Official Selection significa che il cortometraggio ha superato un’attenta valutazione basata su criteri di qualità narrativa, tecnica e creativa. È un riconoscimento di eccellenza e un primo passo verso le fasi finali del festival.

I cortometraggi della Official Selection possono fregiarsi della ghirlanda “Official Selection”, un simbolo distintivo che attesta il riconoscimento del festival.

2. Finalisti

Dopo la selezione ufficiale, la giuria procede a individuare i finalisti, ossia i cortometraggi che rappresenteranno ciascuna sezione nella serata di proiezione e premiazione.

Per ogni sezione vengono scelti 3 cortometraggi finalisti, che saranno proiettati durante l’evento conclusivo del festival.

Mentre la Official Selection rappresenta un riconoscimento prestigioso, i finalisti sono le opere che hanno raggiunto la fase successiva del concorso.

Solo uno di questi tre cortometraggi, per ciascuna sezione, sarà decretato vincitore durante la serata di premiazione.

La fase finale: il Premio e la Proclamazione

Durante la serata conclusiva del 14 dicembre 2024, presso il Teatro San Leonardo di Viterbo, i cortometraggi finalisti saranno proiettati di fronte a una giuria esperta e al pubblico presente.

La giuria decreterà il vincitore di ciascuna sezione, annunciandolo alla fine dell’evento.

Gli altri due finalisti passeranno sulla piattaforma FilmFreeway allo stato di Nominee, mantenendo comunque un riconoscimento speciale per l’alto livello raggiunto.
